X-STATIC® MVT+ is an advanced antimicrobial technology that enhances the comfort and performance of waterproof, breathable membranes. X-STATIC® MVT+ maintains high breathability ratings for the life of the product by preventing the buildup of bacteria in the membrane, while eliminating odor.* 

Utilizing X-STATIC® technology, a layer of pure silver is permanently bonded to the next-to-skin surface of a waterproof, breathable membrane. The membrane is then laminated to the desired face fabric and is ready for use in apparel, footwear, gear, accessories and home products.

Tests prove that bacterial growth on waterproof, breathable fabrics greatly reduces their effectiveness. Washing may kill, but not remove the bacteria. Only X-STATIC® MVT+ inhibits the growth of the bacteria on the membrane, allowing it to retain its performance for the life of the product.
